Deep Inside a Poem

It wasn't the rusty bike that turned me off
Or the blistering sun on my skin
It's how badly I really wanted to..
To explore the town, and you

That made you ride alone

It's not that I'm glued to your eyes
And it's not this new country we're in
It's your sweet breath
And your soft lips

That beckon me to kiss you

Trust me, I'm not afraid of any limbs
Not afraid of what you'd say, or that the moment's come and been
It's losing myself completely
The betrayal of a love

That keeps these thoughts locked

deep inside a poem.
